Hassium Media Knob
Key steps, LED meanings, and quick fixes. For the fastest help, keep the device awake while following along.
Before first use
- - Fully charge the device; the first full charge makes the battery reading accurate.
- - Use any standard 5V USB charger. Let it reach full occasionally for best accuracy.
Pairing
- - Wake the device with a press or a turn.
- - Open Bluetooth on your phone, tablet, or computer.
- - Select "Hs Knob" and pair. After the first time it reconnects quickly for daily use.
Controls
- - Turn clockwise / counter-clockwise: Volume up / down
- - Single press: Play / Pause
- - Double press: Next track
- - Triple press: Previous track
- - Press + turn clockwise / counter-clockwise: Move forward / backward through audio or video
- - Hold 3 seconds: Open settings
- - Hold 6 seconds: Sleep now
Settings page
- - Hold the button for 3 seconds to enter settings mode.
- - Connect to Wi-Fi "Hassium Knob".
- - If the page doesn't open, visit 192.168.4.1 in your browser.
- - You can set sleep timeout, wake play/pause delay, LED brightness, and toggle charging LEDs.
- - When finished, press Save then Exit Config.
LED guide
- - Blue breathing: Ready to pair or reconnect
- - Green flash: Connected
- - Amber flashes: Disconnected
- - Yellow breathing: Settings mode
- - Purple pulse: Play / Pause sent
- - Red triple blink: Going to sleep
- - Smooth rainbow: Fully charged (plugged in) and for a few seconds after a new connection
- - While charging - Red breathing: Low battery | Blue breathing: Mid battery | Green breathing: High or near full
Sleep behavior
- - Sleeps automatically after the chosen timeout or if it stays awake too long without connecting.
- - You can always hold 6 seconds to sleep immediately.
Troubleshooting
- - Device not in Bluetooth list: Wake it and try again; confirm Bluetooth is on.
- - Does not reconnect: Toggle Bluetooth off/on; wake the device again.
- - Settings page won't open: Connect to Wi-Fi "Hassium Knob" and open 192.168.4.1 manually.
Care
- - Keep the device dry.
- - Don't use damaged charging cables.
- - Avoid very hot environments.
- - Use standard 5V USB power sources only.
